All auctions / Contemporary Art / Pablo Soroya - Mediterranean Landscape
MEDITERRANEAN LANDSCAPE 1. Architectural Scale & Spatial Depth Rather than relying on a basic horizon split, the composition is anchored by two towering maritime pines in the immediate foreground. They frame the turquoise bay below, drawing the eye inward and creating immediate spatial depth—making it an ideal focal point for high-ceiling living rooms or expanding compact living spaces seeking light and character. 2. Graphic Structure & Rich Texture The work pairs a vibrant palette of cobalt blues, rich turquoise, indigo, cerulean and warm earth tones with bold, expressive post-impressionist brushwork. Heavy impasto texture brings the pine bark and foreground rocks to life, establishing a strong tactile contrast against the rhythmic, stylized cloud formations and calm waters. Technical Specifications: Medium: Professional Fine-Art Oils on Heavyweight Canvas. Painted Surface: 112 x 91 cm. Total surface: 120 x 99 cm, leaving ample margins for stretching. Execution: 100% freehand physical artifact. No digital projections, AI generation, grids, or mechanical transfers.
