Painter's studio with models. Signed José Luis Florit. Spanish School.

Descriptio Watercolor on paper. Dimensions: 70 x 49 cm and 76 x 56 cm. An interior scene set in an artist’s studio, where a painter works at an easel while several female models pose in a relaxed and bright environment. The composition unfolds with narrative ease, integrating details such as brushes, curtains, furniture, and a skylight revealing the urban skyline in the background. The figure of the artist in the midst of execution visually connects with his model, reinforcing the dynamics of the creative process. The brushstrokes are loose and softly colored, revealing the fluid and expressive style of José Luis Florit Rodero, whose signature appears clearly in the left margin. The work is part of the Spanish costumbrista tradition of the mid-20th century, with nods to the intimacy of the art world and the role of women as contemporary muses. Its value lies both in its technical quality and in its testimony to a specific era and cultural environment. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
