Pair of gilded chairs with original upholstery. European School. Late

Descriptio Carved and gilded wood with textile upholstery. Dimensions: 115 x 46 x 53 cm. Set of two high-backed chairs with curvilinear shapes and lavish Rococo carvings on the gilded frame. The backrests and seats retain their original textile upholstery, with plant motifs in reddish tones, lending elegance and historical character. The composition of undulating lines and the gilded decoration reflect the historicist taste of the late 19th century, inspired by the French Rococo of the 18th century, designed for stately salons. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
