A fine and rare pair of French 19th-century Sevres-style opaline glass plates, circa 1845, each finely decorated by the celebrated workshop of Jean-Francois Robert (Robert aine). The center of each plate features a masterfully hand-painted, naturalistic floral bouquet, set within a vibrant turquoise ground border reminiscent of the iconic Sevres bleu celeste glaze. This rich border is elegantly enriched with intricate gilt ornament and delicate floral reserves. Exemplifying the peak of Napoleon III-era luxury art glass, the undersides bear the prestigious dual marks of Launay - Hautin & Cie. 1845, the premier distributor for Baccarat and Saint-Louis, and Robert aine Sevres, confirming their origin from Robert's specialized enamel-on-glass studio.
