Pancho Porto (1988) - Burros (De libre interpretación)

Title: “Donkeys” — Contemporary sculpture in bronze and iron (Limited Edition) “Donkeys” is a work created in 2025 that invites the viewer to interpret freely. Two donkeys made of bronze, joined by a simple metal structure on a base of iron, generate an open scene in which each person can project their own reading according to their vision, experience, and sensibility. The work does not impose a meaning: that interpretive freedom is, precisely, its critique. By not offering a closed narrative, it questions the tendency to seek absolute explanations and proposes the possibility that the sense of a piece—as with many human situations—depends on who observes it. With dimensions of 50 cm in length, 15 cm in height, and 8 cm in width, “Donkeys” combines formal simplicity with a strong symbolic charge. Its materials —bronze and iron— reinforce the solidity of the scene, while the arrangement of the figures opens a space for individual reflection. Key features: Title: Donkeys Year: 2025 Materials: Bronze and iron Dimensions: 50 × 15 × 8 cm Concept: work of free interpretation; critique of the search for unique meanings A piece that invites thinking without guides, observing without instructions, and constructing meaning from one’s own gaze.
