Parastone - Magritte - Sculpture

This is not a Pipe Magnificent Polystone resin sculpture, model “This is not a Pipe,” from the work “The Treachery of Images” (1929), on the philosophical question of the mutual relationship between image, word, and reality according to Magritte. Height: 9.5 cm Width: 5 x 12.5 cm Beautiful finish and carefully crafted details. Brand new product, shipped quickly in its original packaging, with Certificate of Authenticity. René Magritte (1898-1967) René Magritte was born in 1898 in Lessines near Tournai, in the French-speaking part of Belgium. He grew up in Châtelet, near Charleroi. Studied from 1916 to 1918 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where he met the Bourgeois brothers Victor and Pierre as well as the painter Pierre-Louis Flouquet. Magritte collaborated in 1919 on the first issue of the magazine Au Volant, edited by the Bourgeois brothers. After a year of military service, Magritte worked as a draftsman, mainly for a Brussels wallpaper manufacturer and, as a freelancer, created posters, advertising materials, and stands for exhibitions. In 1926 he painted his first recognized surrealist work, The Lost Jockey. In the same year, he signed, with other Belgian surrealists, the pamphlets titled The Married Couple of the Eiffel Tower and Two Disgraces. Magritte stayed from 1927 to 1930 in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, near Paris, where he met Hans Arp, André Breton, Salvador Dalí, Paul Eluard, and Joan Miró. His provocatively titled article The Words and the Images was published in 1929 in the last issue of La Révolution Surréaliste, one year after the creation of his painting The Empty Mask. Parastone has successfully created decorative objects for almost 50 years, some of timeless classic beauty and others more aligned with dominant trends. The museum-piece collection presented under the name Mouseion is an important part of the collection. In addition to exact reproductions of major works of art, the Mouseion series also includes three-dimensional interpretations of paintings and drawings by many artists, from Hieronymus Bosch to Salvador Dalí. “decorative object, luxury item, tableware, collector’s item, interior decoration, statuette, sculpture, no Panther, no Orlinski, no Koons, pop art, no Kong, no pom-pom” Photos are part of the description. This beautiful piece will add a touch of elegance to your home. Fast and careful shipping
