Set of 5 vintage pistol-shaped lighters – Partner & Corona – Japan – 1950s/1960s Proposed description Set of 5 old miniature gasoline lighters in the shape of a pistol, dating approximately to the 1950s–1960s. The lot includes 4 lighters from the Partner brand, recognizable by their engraved markings on the body, with different decorative plates in red, black, ivory and green, as well as 1 Corona lighter of slightly larger dimensions with textured black plates. These small novelty lighters feature a chrome metal construction and an original ignition mechanism operated by a trigger, reproducing the look of a small pistol while remaining a device intended for ignition. The pieces show a patina consistent with their age, including scratches, small traces of oxidation, wear to the chrome plating, and visible signs of use in the photographs. The decorative plates are still present and give the whole a nice collectible appearance. Made in Japan Estimated era: 1950s–1960s Brands: Partner and Corona Type: collectible gasoline lighters They make for a particularly decorative set for a collection of antique lighters, vintage Japanese objects, or curiosities from the 1950s/60s.
