Pasquale Vuotto is a contemporary Italian painter and poet, born in Naples in 1958. He is particularly esteemed in the Neapolitan art scene for his ability to capture the soul of the marine landscapes of Campania. Artistic journey The early passion: He began painting at the age of only 10, driven by innate talent. The training: He started as a self-taught artist, guided by a strong creative instinct. Later, to refine his technique, he attended the art studios of masters D’Urso and Ciardo, achieving excellent technical maturity. Philosophy: Vuotto has never sought wealth or fame in art for their own sake, but rather a sense of deep personal and spiritual fulfillment. In his works, painting often blends with poetry, conveying a sense of meditation and Style and subjects The painting “from life”: About 90% of his production is devoted to his beloved Naples and the nearby coastal areas. From a young age he loved painting en plein air (from life). pasquale-vuotto-ormeggio-a-pozzuoli/) Preferred themes: He is renowned especially for his seascapes, fishing villages (such as Ischia, Pozzuoli, Sorrento and Positano), the little harbors and the iconic moored fishing boats, just like those visible in pasquale-vuotto. Critics sometimes liken his chromatic sensitivity to that of the Post-Impressionist movements or the Macchiaioli. He uses oil colors to give extraordinary depth and a sense of movement to the water and sky, immortalizing particular hours of the day such as dawns, sunsets, or cloudy days. Recognitions: In addition to being a reference point in Italian art galleries, his works have crossed national borders, being exhibited and collected abroad, particularly in the United States, in England and in Germany.
