Original painting, oil on jute canvas complete with a signed back pamphlet bearing the artist’s stamp; upon request, a personal dedication on the back of the canvas or on a photo Pasquale Vuotto is a contemporary Italian painter and poet, born in Naples in 1958. He is highly regarded in the Neapolitan art scene for his ability to capture the soul of Campania’s coastal landscapes. Artistic journey The early passion: He began painting at the tender age of just 10, driven by innate talent. Training: He took his first steps as a self-taught artist, guided by a strong creative instinct. Subsequently, to refine his technique, he attended the art studios of masters D'Urso and Ciardo, achieving excellent technical maturity. Philosophy: Vuotto has never sought wealth or fame from art for its own sake, but rather a sense of deep personal and spiritual fulfillment. In his works, painting often blends with poetry, conveying a sense of meditation and The style and subjects The painting "from life": About 90% of his production is devoted to his beloved Naples and the nearby coastal towns. From a young age he loved painting en plein air (from life). [pasquale-vuotto-ormeggio-a-pozzuoli/] The preferred themes: He is famous especially for his seascapes, fishing villages (such as Ischia, Pozzuoli, Sorrento and Positano), the harbors and the iconic moored fishing boats, just like those visible [pasquale-vuotto]. Critics sometimes equate his chromatic sensitivity with that of the Post-Impressionist movements or the Macchiaioli. He uses oil colors to give extraordinary depth and a sense of movement to the water and the sky, immortalizing particular hours of the day such as dawns, sunsets or gloomy days. Recognitions: In addition to being a reference point in Italian art galleries, his works have crossed national borders, being exhibited and collected abroad, particularly in the United States, in England and in Germany.
