Paul Paeschke (1875–1943) - Am Strand

Paul Paeschke (Berlin, 1875–1943) "Am Strand" (On the Beach), 1919. Lithograph hand-signed by the German Impressionist artist. Sheet size: approx. 20.5 x 30.5 cm. From a portfolio of graphic works. Typographic inscription on the reverse: "Bilderlese aus kleineren Gemäldesammlungen" (Selection of Images from Smaller Painting Collections). His work captured the vibrant artistic and social transition of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is frequently associated with the "Verschollene Generation" (Lost Generation) due to the strict regulations and persecution by the Nazi regime, which ultimately classified his work as "Degenerate Art" (*Entartete Kunst*).
