Das Thema des nordfriesischen Künstlers Paulsen war überwiegend die Landschaft und Architektur der schleswig-holsteinischen Westküste. Zumeist arbeitete er mit dem Medium der Radierung, ab Mitte der 1920er Jahre experimentierte er aber auch mit der Malerei.- Auf einer kleinen Erhebung die Bockwindmühle vor blauem Himmel, hinter dem Hügel das Dach eines Gebäudes.- Verso auf Keilrahmen montiertes Papierschild mit eigenhändiger Bestätigung mit Unterschrift des Künstler-Enkels Rüdiger Paulsen, dass vorliegendes Gemälde aus dem Nachlass des Künstlers stammt sowie von verschiedenen Händen in Bleistift '84 Photo v. The subject of the North Frisian artist Paulsen was predominantly the landscape and architecture of the Schleswig-Holstein west coast. He mostly worked with etching, but from the mid-1920s he also experimented with painting. - On a small rise, the post mill against a blue sky; behind the hill, the roof of a building. - On the reverse, a paper label mounted on the stretcher bears a handwritten confirmation, signed by the artist's grandson Rüdiger Paulsen, that the present painting comes from the artist's estate, as well as the inscriptions '84 Photo v. Prof. Möller' and 'Rg Nr. 222 5/85' in pencil by various hands.
