Made by Peter & Ann Bateman in London in 1794. Girdled upward tapering cylinder; raised and spread foot. Cover hinged and double-domed with open-scroll thumb rest. S-scroll handle with hear terminal. A convivial Yeoman vessel that probably seemed a tad old fashioned by the late eighteenth century. Fully marked. Very good condition. Overall dimensions: H 8 1/4 x W 7 x D 5 in. Weight: 26.5 troy ounces. #CC226
