This extraordinary freeform piece of petrified wood combines the original strength of an ancient tree with the fascinating beauty of mineral petrification. Warm red, Bordeaux, and amber tones blend harmoniously with cream, brown, and dark mineral inclusions, giving this remarkable standalone piece impressive depth. The high-gloss polish highlights the natural color gradients and the structures formed over millions of years, making every viewing a new experience. Petrified wood forms when organic wood is completely replaced over millions of years by mineral-rich solutions, while preserving its original grain and structure. This creates a unique fossil that carries the history of long-extinct forests within it. Each freeform piece has a distinctive pattern and is a true natural one-of-a-kind, combining geological history and natural elegance in an extraordinary way. Whether as an exclusive collectible, a high-quality decorative object, or an extraordinary focal point in living or business spaces, this freeform petrified wood captivates with its striking color diversity, natural charm, and exceptional rarity. A fascinating natural work of art that blends timeless elegance with the history of our planet and adds stylish value to any mineral and fossil collection. Extraordinary Quartz Hand Polished Petrified Wood Weight: 1376,17 g Size: 133x100x68mm Treatment: None Origin: Madagascar It is fossil wood dating back 200 million years, all parts from a log or branches have been silicified, meaning that organic components were little by little replaced by silicon in the form of jasper, chalcedony and more rarely opal. Without the organic parts, all the living matter was replaced by stone : there are growth rings, cell separations, almost like worm cracks. Its features are those of the mineral that would have pseudo-transformed the wood : the silicon. And that’s what we call a "petrified wood" in the common language. The disclaimer about the healing properties as previously given : It is believed that certain gemstones and minerals have beneficial health and spiritual properties.
