Pietro Fragiacomo (1856-1922), Attrib. - Veduta del Porto in Laguna

This painting is a small jewel of extraordinary painting quality, typical of the rarest and most sought-after studio formats, in which the masters of Venetian landscape painting captured the immediacy of light. Executed in 1889, a crucial year in which Fragiacomo established himself internationally by participating in the Paris Universal Exposition—the work concentrates in just a few centimeters an impressive technical mastery...The brushwork is concise, dense, strongly tactile and free from hesitation..The atmospheric rendering perfectly describes the foggy, reflected light of the Venetian Lagoon, making this tiny format a work of art of great collectible and historical value...Oil on a 9x15 cm panel without a frame and 25x31 cm with a frame...Signed at the bottom left...The frame is offered as a gift; therefore we do not accept complaints nor do we consider ourselves responsible for any damage during shipping....We do not ship outside.
