Old lot of two pocket compasses, probably from the first half of the 20th century, around 1920–1950. The first has a brass case with a suspension ring and the second a metal case with a knurled edge bearing the inscription “Made in France.” Dials graduated up to 360° with cardinal points and magnetized needles. The glass of the brass compass shows a visible crack. The set also bears patina, signs of use, and oxidation related to its age. Highly sought after in the world of industrial design, scientific curiosities, old medical technology, laboratory optics, steampunk, and rare measuring instruments. Ideal for a collector, industrial loft decoration, cabinet of curiosities, scientific display case (theodolite, microscope, sextant, compass).
