pocket watch - Vintage - 1960-1969

Up for auction is a classic vintage Swiss-made railroad pocket watch manufactured for the Turkish State Railways (TCDD - Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları) around the 1950s. White dial in excellent condition with clear black Arabic numerals and an outer 24-hour track (13–24). Prominent red,pink winged railway logo under the "17 RUBIS" inscription. Sub-second dial located at 6 o'clock position. Marked: "INCABLOC", "ANTIMAGNETIC", and "SWISS MADE" at the bottom. Solid metal case featuring a high-relief engraving on the back depicting a steam locomotive beneath the Turkish Crescent and Star, along with the official TCDD emblem. Inner cuvette,dust cover is nicely decorated with exhibition award medals and engraved "ANCRE DE PRECISION". High-grade Swiss hand-winding movement: Unitas Caliber 497 (stamped with the Unitas shield logo). 17 Jewels, Incabloc shock protection. Marked: "17 JEWELS SWISS". Excellent vintage condition with normal light signs of wear consistent with age. No major dents or deep scratches. The watch is in fully working order, winds smoothly, runs nicely, and keeps good time. Diameter (excluding crown): ~50 mm
