Pokémon – Lucky Stadium – 2000 Tropical Mega Battle Hawaii – Bilingual Unnumbered Promotional Card – PSA 8.5 NM-MT+ Offered is an exceptionally rare Lucky Stadium Promotional Card from the International Tropical Mega Battle 2000 in Honolulu, Hawaii. This specimen is explicitly the Tropical Mega Battle version of Lucky Stadium and not one of the regional Japanese Lucky Stadium promos from World Challenge Summer 2000 or the later Neo-Destiny- or Black-Star-Promo versions. The card was produced and issued for participants of the International Tropical Mega Battle, held on August 26 and 27, 2000 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii. The tournament brought a small group of selected Pokémon TCG players from around the world together. Contemporary or historical documentation lists 42 participants from Japan, the USA, Canada, Latin America, and other parts of Asia. Lucky Stadium was distributed as a participation promo to the players of the tournament, regardless of their final placing. Due to the very small number of participants, the production quantity of the Tropical Mega Battle version is estimated at fewer than 50 copies. The exact total number of cards actually produced is not definitively documented, hence no exact print run is guaranteed. Special Tropical Mega Battle Edition The card differs noticeably from the eight regional Lucky Stadium cards issued in 2000 at Japanese World Challenge Summer events. For the international final in Hawaii, Lucky Stadium received its own illustration by Kouichi Ooyama. Also particularly characteristic is the bilingual card layout with Japanese and English text, matching the international field of participants in the tournament.
