Pope Benedict XVI - Apostolic Journey to Lebanon - Rosary...

Rarest and scarcely available objects personally donated by Pope Benedict XVI to a public figure during a private audience granted during the Apostolic Journey to Lebanon from September 14 to 16, 2012, to bring Peace to turmoil-stricken Lebanon. It is specifically a splendid Rosary crown from Pope Benedict XVI, on the reverse of the medal of the Virgin Mary is the papal coat of arms. The Rosary is made with precious white resin beads of the highest quality, total length about 40 cm. Together with the Rosary there is the exclusive book with the Celebrations and liturgies of Pope Benedict XVI’s Apostolic Journey to Lebanon from September 14 to 16, 2012, printed in only a few exquisite copies. The volume is printed on heavy paper and has a wonderful red leather binding with gold-impressed decorations and the Papal coat of arms in gold on the cover, with a precious yellow silk bookmark present. Book dimensions: 250 x 180 mm - Pages 90 On the title page there is a photo of Pope Benedict XVI and a faithful reproduction of his signature These two objects were directly donated by the hands of Pope Benedict XVI to some high-ranking members of the diplomatic corps who had the privilege to greet him personally in Lebanon; they cannot be bought in any shop as they are exclusive gifts made specifically for the Pope and handed over only by him personally. The accompanying photos of the auction clearly show the extreme care taken to make both the rosary, whose beads are made of precious white resin, and the red leather book; there are some slight abrasions to the leather cover of the book, which was surely used during the celebration presided over by the Pope.
