Pratt, Hugo - 1 Silkscreen - Corto Maltese - Tango - 1986

70x70 format, screen-printed on fine paper. The 12 serigraphs of "Tango" were commissioned from Hugo Pratt and produced for Editori del Grifo, between the end of 1985 and the beginning of 1986 on the occasion of his solo exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. Pratt oversaw the work at a screen printer in Rome, and all signatures were added by Pratt in his own handwriting in the presence of the publisher. The edition consists of 250 copies in Arabic numerals and 50 in Roman numerals; about twenty copies printed as a reserve are artist's proofs (P.A.). The copy for sale is indeed part of the P.A. edition.
