Nowadays, diamonds are often cut fully automatically, scanned by computer and their ideal cut is calculated. The cut is constantly being perfected so that the end product of the gemstone industry is always the same: Because one diamond should look like another. Diamonds that were cut more than 100 years ago, on the other hand, are characterized by their individuality. At a time when every facet was created by hand and the rough diamond was examined closely to bring out the best in it, the range of diamond shapes created in this way was far greater than it is today. This diamond shows this impressively. The masterful old cut of the stone, a so-called Old European Cut, gives it character and its shape makes it unique. Its color is a warm, tinted white+ (K) and its clarity is very good (vs2). The old-cut diamond has a weight of 1.62 carats. We have sustainably produced the ring with its classic prong setting in platinum: Both the diamond and the platinum of the ring are used here in second use, they are reused historical materials. An independent appraisal of the piece of jewellery is included with this wonderful ring. We love this ring design because it’s simple and lets the beautiful diamond take center stage.
