President William Howard Taft first pitch photograph c.1911 (PSA/DNA "Type I"). Period 4.5"x6" photograph showing Taft as he opens the 1911 baseball season one year after he became the first sitting United States President in history to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Overall clarity and composition are noteworthy and result in an image which offers fine eye appeal. "Clinedinst" mark printed within and there are some pencil notations and a newspaper stamp on the back. Circle on the front was added in preparation for publication. Authenticated and encapsulated as "Type I" by PSA: EX
