Canadian. A handmade stable lantern in wood and tin from Lunenburg County. The pine lantern box has round glass windows on three sides and a unique glass door with a strap hinge. The base is pierced with air holes, and the top has a pierced tin cone-shaped funnel as the chimney. Includes a tin candle holder inside. Nova Scotia. Late 19th century. Unmarked.
