Pucci de Rossi (Italian, 1947-2013), Sculptural Iron and Glass Dining Table

1987 for Dolin Stuart, clear glass square top with beveled edge set on patinated steel sculptural base, signed. 29.5 x 56 x 56 in. Pucci was a pioneering Italian-born artist, sculptor, and designer celebrated as the founding father of "Brutti Mobili" (Ugly Furniture) and a defining voice in postmodern European design. Operating primarily out of Paris from the late 1970s onward, he challenged traditional boundaries by turning functional household objects into playful, ironic works of art. Overall good estate condition; the glass top with some minor scuffs and light scratches from general use.
