PULLEY BRACKET Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Baoulé ethnic group 20th century Wood, original glossy black patina from use H. 24 cm Provenance: - Former Donald Keith Tait Collection, Paris Anthropomorphic loom pulley bracket. The arch is angular. At the top of a tubular neck adorned with scarification marks, the oval face has a serene expression. Above the forehead, two crescent-shaped braids are attached to a bun. The thread spool is made of corozo nut.
