An exceptional and rare Chinese Export armorial hard-paste porcelain soup tureen (soupiere), matching cover, and fitted stands/underplate (presentoir), crafted during the Qianlong period (circa 1750-1770) for the Western European market. Molded in an oblong chamfered octagonal form, the ensemble features a molded polychrome fruit-form finial (modeled as a pomegranate or peach) and applied boars' head or hare handles painted in iron-red and gilding. Both the tureen body, cover, and platter rim are prominently hand-painted with a European heraldic coat of arms displaying an impaled shield flanked by ornate mantling and surmounted by a crest, encircled by a elaborate spearhead inner border and shell-and-scroll Rococo outer rims (famille rose palette). The central field of the platter and surrounding reserves are further embellished with delicate sprays of peony, lotus, and scattered floral sprigs.
