Highly collectible original 1976 Japanese first pressing of Queen's A Day At The Races, issued on Elektra under catalogue number P-10300E. This is the authentic Japanese release from the album's inaugural year, housed in the deluxe gatefold sleeve and retaining the complete original Japanese package: the ¥2,500 OBI strip, both standard inserts, and most notably, the rare early plastic photo card. Early P-10300E copies are documented with this additional plastic card insert, while later pressings are typically found with only the standard two paper inserts. A surviving example with the photo card present represents a far more desirable and complete early configuration, making this copy considerably more valuable to serious collectors than typical Japanese issues of this title. The standard Japanese package comprises a black-and-white Japanese liner-notes sheet and a double-sided glossy colour picture insert, all present here alongside the original OBI and the scarce early photo card. Released in 1976, A Day At The Races followed A Night At The Opera and continued Queen's ambitious mid-1970s studio period, produced by Queen themselves.
