Queen - The Best Of Queen (Poland) – 1980 TONPRESS...

An interesting original 1980 Polish pressing of Queen's The Best Of Queen, issued by Tonpress / EMI under catalogue number SX-T 3. This Polish compilation possesses a distinctive identity of its own and is immediately recognisable by the unusual beige labels with blue printing—a design quite removed from the standard EMI label presentations encountered on Western European Queen releases of the period. For Queen collectors, these locally produced Eastern European editions hold particular appeal because of their alternative label designs, catalogue numbering, and regional presentation, marking them as genuinely separate releases rather than simple repressings of the standard Western stock. The album brings together a strong selection from Queen's classic 1970s catalogue, including Brighton Rock, Killer Queen, Now I'm Here, Somebody To Love, Tie Your Mother Down, '39, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, We Are The Champions, and We Will Rock You. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): The original sleeve remains very presentable overall. There is some whitening along the edges together with normal light age-related handling wear, but no major distracting damage. The artwork remains clean and the sleeve presents nicely → VG+ Vinyl (EX): The vinyl is in excellent condition, retaining a very nice original shine with only minimal signs of previous handling or play. A clean and attractive EX example throughout. ⸻ Details * Poland 1980 Tonpress / EMI pressing * Catalogue number SX-T 3 * Beige labels with blue printing * Made in Poland * Distinctive Eastern European regional variant
