Quick et Flupke T3 - Gamins de Bruxelles - 3e série - 1 Album - Reprint - 1942

This lot concerns the third album of Quick and Flupke by Hergé, 'Gamins de Bruxelles - 3e série' in the sixth edition from 1942. This is a rare wartime edition, issued in the middle of WW II. Seven editions of this album were published over a few years, before and during the two World Wars, each with limited print runs and with subtle variations. In all its variants the album is sought after. This specific edition can be recognized by, among other things, the back cover (BDM A18). The detailed description states: good. The worst aspect of the album is the back cover, which is somewhat dirty and shows slight edge chipping. The front cover is in nice condition, with lighter overall wear. The same applies to the corners and edges. Then the book block. The endpapers are quite neat, but the book block is slightly nicked, though still well attached. The book block itself is in a comparable state. There are some small tears in the fragile paper, which have also been restored. There is some yellowing and some reading creases, but in fact that is rather limited. On page 4 there is some black ink missing, a consequence of the printing process.
