All auctions / Lighting / R.G.Rida - Roberto giulio Rida - Hanging lamp - White...
Chandelier created by Roberto Giulio Rida (1943). Italy, made between 2015 and 2019. Multi-light white model. Every work by Roberto Giulio Rida is a unique piece! This is a large-sized chandelier, suitable for large spaces; the structure has a diameter of 100 cm (which becomes about 120 cm with the diffusers mounted) and a height from the ceiling of about 160/170 cm. All 18 diffusers are intact, in milk glass, characterized by the typical opaque white and milky coloration. Made in Murano and personally selected by the artist. All the lamp holders (predominantly E27 connectors and some E14) are numbered, as are the glass diffusers. This chandelier is in excellent condition, intact and complete. After dismantling it was tested again and verified and it is perfectly working. Look carefully at the photo gallery, which is an integral part of the description, in order to avoid unpleasant misunderstandings. Materials: Murano glass, painted iron, brass and nylon. The fourth photo shows the chandelier in the auction as it appeared at the time of the initial assembly. The last nine photos were taken from his Instagram page and depict chandeliers from the same series (none is identical to the one in the auction), attached are some links where his works are published. Unique pieces only for major collectors!! Given the value and fragility of the glasses, collection at the seller’s premises is required. After purchase, if necessary, we will be happy to arrange pickup or evaluate the cost of any potential shipping to the buyer. “The essential elements of Roberto Giulio Rida’s works are all visible and tangible: build quality and attention to detail, meticulous proportions and use of vintage materials crafted by hand in Italy. Crystal - Murano Glass - Wood - Metal. These are the materials on which Italian design in the first half of the 20th century was built, These are the materials that Roberto Giulio Rida loves, knows and uses to express his imagination, creating unique hand-made objects such as: furniture, lamps, mirrors, boxes. His work is concrete, not conceptual. He does not rely on mass production and does not pursue innovation at any cost. Rida’s work brings the teachings of the great masters of the past into our present in a personal and undemocratic way... creating furniture protagonists, not background characters. https://www.robertogiuliorida.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/ADclassic-2giu2014033.pdf https://www.robertogiuliorida.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/AD-ITALIA_-GENNAIO-2018.pdf https://www.robertogiuliorida.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/illuminotecnica1986053.pdf https://www.robertogiuliorida.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/ARTE-APR2008034.pdf https://www.robertogiuliorida.it/press/
