Radice Design - Vase - Sculptural Model 'Pleated' XXL (46 cm) - Optical Art

Prepare to add to your collection an extraordinary piece of Italian ceramic avant-garde from the 1970s. This majestic sculptural vase signed Radice represents the perfect fusion between the aesthetics of Op Art (Optical Art) and the craftsmanship of Italian biscuit porcelain. Its surface is a masterpiece of three-dimensional movement: a series of fluid and sinuous reliefs wrap around the body of the vase like pleated fabric or a gown blown by the wind. The absence of glossy glaze, typical of precious biscuit porcelain, gives the work a matte, velvety tactile finish that catches natural light and creates games of shadows and shades of rare elegance with every change of angle. With its organic and dynamic silhouette, this vase is not a simple container, but a true centerpiece sculpture capable of immediately drawing attention in any modern or vintage setting. Produced in the 1970s by the Italian art manufactory Radice, this piece sits in the golden era of Italian furniture design, when experimentation with geometric and organic forms reached its peak splendor. The base still retains the original factory seal with the Radice logo and the period protective pads. Pieces of Op Art-inspired biscuit porcelain with organic 70s design are experiencing a strong resurgence among ceramic collectors and international interior designers. Finding a Radice-manufactured specimen preserved in vintage conditions so impeccably represents a rare opportunity to invest in a piece of Italian decorative art likely to increase in value over time.
