The crown, featuring knurled edges with moderate wear, is signed with the Rado 'R' logo. The domed acrylic crystal remains clear overall, though it shows some light surface scratches and minor crazing visible at certain angles. Movement Inside the case beats the 30-jewel caliber AS 1700/01, an automatic movement based on an A. Schild ebauche. The caliber presents a generally clean appearance, featuring a signed rotor with minor surface scratches. The movement displays clear engravings reading RADO, GOLDEN HORSE, THIRTY 30 JEWELS SWISS (SW), and AS 1700/01. The timegrapher recorded a rate of +6+8s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a vintage timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching, which appears to be in near-new condition. Condition Good vintage condition. The dial remains clean and highly attractive, with only minor spotting visible upon close inspection, while the hands show visible oxidation. The stainless steel case displays honest wear, with moderate scratches and handling marks across its surfaces and smooth bezel. The domed acrylic crystal presents light surface scratches and minor crazing. The timegrapher result of +6+8s/day reflects strong mechanical performance. Dimensions The case size is 35 mm, and this measurement excludes the crown. Remarks This Golden Horse offers a highly appealing dial layout, characterized by the applied gold-tone seahorses and the striking red date numerals. The signed 'R' crown and the reliable 30-jewel automatic movement make this a compelling choice for collectors of mid-century design. History The Golden Horse collection was introduced in 1957 and quickly became one of Rado's earliest major successes. During this era, Rado focused heavily on robust reliability, choosing the twin seahorse emblem as a symbol of this dependability. Powered by the caliber AS 1700/01, a bi-directional automatic movement, the Golden Horse remains a well-known and accessible vintage model that represents Rado's mid-century design language.
