Raffia fabric – Shoowa – Kuba – Democratic Republic of Congo This Shoowa raffia fabric is part of the remarkable textile tradition of the Kuba people in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Made from raffia fibers, it stands out for the richness of its design, the delicacy of its workmanship, and its characteristic geometric compositions. The Shoowa textiles attest to a meticulous know-how, transmitted through generations, where weaving, embroidery, and texture effects give rise to pieces that are particularly refined. With its structured graphic design and natural texture, this piece provides a strong and elegant presence to a collection of African art or to a contemporary interior. Presented as a wall textile, decorative element, or collectible piece, it creates a harmonious dialogue between African textile heritage and modern aesthetics. A distinctive piece for lovers of art textiles and traditional craftsmanship.
