Recto: portrait of a geisha standing beside a chair of European taste, attributed to Raimund von Stillfried-Rathenitz (1839–1911). Verso: view of the Karamon Gate of the Tōshō-gū shrine in Nikkō, attributed to T. Enami (1859–1929). Technique: hand-colored albumen prints. Period: circa 1880. Number of photographs: 2, mounted recto/verso on the same album sheet. Dimensions of the photographs: – Geisha: about 26.2 × 19.9 cm – Karamon Gate: about 20.2 × 26.2 cm – Mount sheet: about 28.2 × 22 cm Signature: unsigned.
