Ralf Altrieth - A peu près à la même heure - XXL

Across acrylic, decalcomanies and transfers of matter, Ralf Altrieth conjures up a gallery of imaginary figures that seem to brush against each other, respond to one another, or simply evolve side by side, as in a world whose rules belong only to him. The bold colors and the layers of material give the surface a great richness. The black lines structure the shapes, while the touches, traces and transfers reveal different strata of paint. The whole retains a very direct spontaneity, but also a true sense of rhythm and composition. Between free figuration, instinctive drawing and graphic poetry, this work does not aim to tell a precise story. It opens up a space where the imagination can circulate freely. Through its energy, its colors and its distinctly singular character, the work brings an immediate presence to the space. It first attracts with its expressiveness, then holds the eye with the multitude of details that reveal themselves gradually. TECHNIQUE: Acrylic with decalcomanies and transfers of matter on canvas Thick canvas, professional quality 160 × 80 cm Unique work, hand-painted Excellent condition Signed and dated on the back by the artist Certificate of authenticity signed by Ralf Altrieth CRITIQUE ET PRESSE: "In this sense, the pictorial poems of Ralf Altrieth are a pure childish chant. From the crucible of improvisation he conjures a pristine world of spontaneous joys and strong impulses." — Dr Friedhelm Häring, art historian and museum director "His gesture-and-color writing describes a world open to new voices and experiments never attempted. His canvases and works on paper demonstrate that painting remains a major expression of the contemporary scene." — Laurent Puech, art historian and curator MARGES: The indicated dimensions correspond to the work once mounted on a stretcher. The canvas includes additional white margins that will allow stapling the canvas to the sides of the frame (approximately 2.5 to 3 cm of margin on each side). The tensioning can easily be carried out by your local framer. EXPÉDITION: The canvas is shipped rolled in a reinforced tube, specially designed to ensure maximum protection during transport.
