Rare albino Endivia snail: Hexaplex endivia f

A true rarity and a sculptural specialty for discerning ConchyloLogy collections. The Hexaplex endivia (known as the Endive spiny snail) fascinates with its strongly frilled, extremely detailed architecture featuring broad, leaf-like spines. This exceptional specimen captivates with its rare albino form: the shell is completely free of dark pigments and glows in a noble, pure white to soft cream. With a stately collector size of 90 mm, this splendid example displays fully developed, delicate whorls. The delicate aperture lip and the countless fine spines are in absolute top condition. Origin This exquisite collectible was recovered from the energetic deep-water currents off Zamboanga City (Mindanao, Philippines). This region is world-renowned for its marine diversity and yields shells with particularly strong, pronounced structures due to specific nutrient conditions.
