RARE GREEK QUARTZ SCARAB WITH A BULL IN HIGH KARAT GOLD SWIVEL RING

Ca. 500 BC. A quartz scarab, carved in the round with a naturalistic back and drilled longitudinally, the flat underside engraved with a bull advancing in profile with the head lowered. The scarab is mounted in a possibly later swivel gold ring with a plain hoop of rounded section. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number EA24199.
