Rare Vampire Fish jawbone (Hydrolycus) in an antique...

Extraordinary and esoteric Wunderkammer (Cabinet of Wonders) lot, perfect for collectors of natural history, taxidermy, and vintage curiosities. The lot comprises an authentic and well-preserved jaw of the Vampire Fish (Hydrolycus), a predator of the Amazonian waters famed for its impressive long and sharp forward fangs. The specimen is presented inside a scenographic antique glass showcase (Late 19th – Early 20th century), complete with wooden base and an era pin-style support. The showcase bears the typical imperfections, gentle waviness, and trapped air bubbles in the glass that testify to its authentic artisanal glassblowing of the past. A rare and unique piece with strong decorative and collectible value, ready to be displayed. The photos are part of the description. If you want video or further photos, write to nabuccodonozor@yahoo.it. It will be well packed and shipped with traceable courier. Happy bidding.
