The lid features a central panel illustrating a scene of a traditional Chinese court in a classic, minimalist style. The drawing shows two elegant women in traditional dress (Hanfu) seated on a decorative carpet. One of them plays a traditional wind instrument (Dizi flute), creating an atmosphere of serenity and poetry. The front face of the box is adorned with discreet hand-painted botanical scroll motifs, adding a touch of refinement.
