All auctions / Miscellaneous / Relic - Paper, Cotton - 1940-1950 - From the clothing of Pius X, Pope

Antique Italian holy card dedicated to Pope Pio X (listed as "Il Santo Padre Pio P.P. X."), printed in Rome by the V. Frezza typography probably between 1923 and 1951, during the years of the beatification process of Pio X. The element affixed to the left side is a relic "ex indumentis" (i.e., from a fragment of clothing) belonging to Pope Pio X. It is a small geometric fragment of fabric, white or light ivory in color. It is enclosed and protected by a diamond-shaped embroidered frame with gold thread, a typical method of packaging contact or clothing relics intended for devotional holy cards. Dimensions of the holy card with Relic: 110 x 70 mm Shipping only within the EU
