Beautiful liturgical ensemble, consisting of a green chasuble with an accompanying stole and manipel. The chasuble is made of a rich green fabric with a refined, tone-on-tone check pattern. The front features a broad decorative orphrey, richly adorned with embroidered motifs, including stylized lilies (fleur-de-lis) in gold- and red-toned shades. The central ornamental band is framed by gold piping. The chasuble is a sleeveless outer garment; one of the paramenta used in the Roman Catholic Church. The chasuble is the most important garment of the bishop and the priest during the Eucharist. The word "kazuifel" comes from the Latin word "casula," which means "little house." There are several colors of chasubles. The color is determined, among other things, according to the calendar of the liturgical year. The accompanying stole and manipel are made of the same green fabric and feature gold finishes, decorative appliqués and gold fringes. Both liturgical accessories bear embroidered ornaments, giving the ensemble a harmonious and richly decorated appearance. A stole is a long, narrow strip of fabric worn by clergy such as priests, deacons, and ministers during liturgy in Christian churches. It is a liturgical garment that hangs over the shoulders and symbolizes the office and the cross of Christ. The manipel is a narrow, long band that tends to widen slightly toward the ends. The manipel is made from the same fabric and uses the same liturgical color as the chasuble and stole. In Christian symbolism, the manipel represents the burden of work in the Lord’s vineyard, the tears and toil, and the eventual reward for that labor. A characteristic liturgical ensemble, suitable for collectors of ecclesiastical textiles, religious art, and historical liturgical garments. The entire set is carefully packaged and sent by registered mail. Photos complete this description.
