On the back is placed its own Episcopal wax seal. Most Holy Cross D.N.J.C. (Domini Nostri Jesu Christi): Wooden fragment traditionally identified as part of the cross on which Jesus of Nazareth was crucified. Considered the most sacred among Christian relics, this fragment encloses a powerful symbolic value. The Most Holy Cross represents the culmination of the mystery of the Passion, of Redemption and of Christ's salvific sacrifice for humanity. An object of pilgrimage, dispute, and veneration for centuries, it is today a tangible testament to one of the most decisive events in Western civilization, an object of extraordinary devotion since antiquity, custodial with the utmost reverence as a tangible sign of the supreme act of divine love. The Cross is the universal symbol of the Christian faith, representing martyrdom, sacrifice, and victory over sin and death. The relic embodies the Redemption of humanity, and every fragment is considered a channel of spiritual grace, a source of consolation and protection for those who entrust themselves to it.
