Renamed and Defective Medals (4): Army of India 1799-1826, 1 clasp, Ava (H. Pearson 45th Foot) short hyphen reverse, renamed; Maharajpoor Star 1843, naming erased, with original hook suspension replaced by a contemporary fixed laurel leaf bar suspension, and fitted with a contemporary top silver riband buckle; Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Danl. Smith 4th. Regt.) officially impressed naming, suspension broken, the suspension bar and clasp detached from planchet (but present); Afghanistan 1878-80, no clasp, naming mostly erased; the last heavily polished and worn, this fair; the rest generally nearly very fine and better Copy Medals (4): Military Cross, G.V.R.; Davison’s Nile Medal 1798 (2), one in ‘silver’, the other in bronze; Defence Medal, these all obvious poor-quality copies, nearly very fine (8) £160-£200.
