Renato Guttuso (1911-1987) - Renato Guttuso – Portfolio Edizioni SEAT 1982

Important portfolio dedicated to Renato Guttuso, published by Edizioni SEAT in 1982, with critical texts by Carmine Benincasa and Maurizio Calvesi. The lot comprises 26 loose color and black-and-white plates, produced in offset printing directly from the originals, dedicated to different moments of Guttuso's artistic production, with figure studies, nudes, portraits and compositions. The introductory part, the critical texts, the editorial pages and the index of works are present and complete. The plates are kept in the large original editorial folder covered in green cloth, with a red facsimile of Renato Guttuso's signature and the wording “Edizioni SEAT.” The original edition included 34 plates: in this copy 26 plates out of 34 are present. The incompleteness concerns exclusively the corpus of plates; the remaining editorial material is complete. Condition overall good for age. The photographs constitute an integral part of the description.
