He led a discreet but passionate life, dividing his time between the kitchen of the family restaurant La Mère Corbeau and his true vocation: painting. Influenced by post-impressionism, he notably received guidance from his friend Maximilien Luce, which marked some of his works created in Rolleboise. He mainly painted in oils, on canvas, cardboard or panel, and his paintings often capture scenes of rain, villages and nature, with a soft and melancholic atmosphere. His works have been exhibited in numerous galleries, and he is still present on the art market today, particularly in France. René PRIN died in 1985 and rests in the cemetery of Pacy-sur-Eure.
