Artist: Renzo Bergamo (Italian, 1934–2004) Title, year and technique: The mystery as knowledge, 1993 (Period: Immagine e Somiglianza). Mixed media, pencil, pastels and graphite on paper. Dimensions: Image and sheet: 42 cm X 29.7 cm No frame. Details of the signature: Signed with the initials "R" at the bottom right in pencil/graphite. Carries the autograph title "il mistero come conoscenza" handwritten by the artist at the bottom left. Edition: Original unique work (piece unique / sketch). Provenance: Private collection, directly from Caterina Arancio Bergamo’s collection (the artist’s wife and curator of the Archive). Documentation: Accompanied by the official archival data sheet of the Renzo Bergamo Archive - Milan (ID 1554). Also bears the original ink stamp of the Archive imprinted on the back of the sheet with inventory number 1554 handwritten. Conditions: General condition excellent. Conservation excellent, colors sharp, paper intact without folds, tears, or browning. Shipping: The work will be shipped flat (not rolled) inside a rigid protective high-strength packaging, via trackable express courier. Renzo Bergamo was one of the protagonists of Italian cosmic and informal painting, linked to the Milanese art scene of the second half of the 20th century. The work belongs to the famous 1990s cycle "Immagine e Somiglianza", focused on the representation of energetic forces, quantum physics, and the structure of the universe.
