Replica of an Ancient Greek Ceramic Kylix - 6.5 cm

Small Greek-style ceramic kylix with a raised foot and two horizontal handles. It features decoration in black-figure on a reddish background, where a figure in motion is discernible, possibly a warrior or athlete. The surface shows wear and abrasions. Due to its shape (cup with foot and two horizontal handles, type kylix) and the decorative technique of black-figure on a reddish background, it would be placed approximately between the 6th and 5th centuries BCE (late archaic and early classical period in Greece). Spanish private collection, 1980s.
