Revue Thommen Airspeed Xlarge Pioneer Chrono – Ref. 16071.6834 Revue Thommen has a particularly interesting connection with aviation. The Swiss company was founded in 1853 by Gédéon Thommen and initially focused on watches and its own movements. From the 1920s onwards, the company expanded into aviation instruments, an area that became an important part of its history. That aviation background is clearly reflected in the Airspeed collection. The 16071.6834 is a strong and sporty version of the Airspeed Xlarge Pioneer Chrono. The combination of the matte black dial, black rubber strap and stainless steel case gives the watch a technical appearance, while the large 43.5 mm case makes it very present on the wrist. At the heart of the watch is the well-known Swiss ETA 7750 automatic chronograph movement with 25 jewels. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and drives the chronograph functions. The black dial features luminous Arabic numerals and the classic chronograph layout. The transparent screw-down case back gives a view of the mechanical movement. The watch is fitted with a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The 316L stainless steel case measures 43.5 mm in diameter and 15.6 mm in thickness.
