Richard Ginori - Cesare Lacca - Table service (9) - Porcelain

Richard Ginori – Mondovì – An attractive dinnerware set with a hand-painted floral pattern A luminous and unmistakable character set, capable of bringing to the table all the charm of vintage Italian ceramics. This Richard Ginori Mondovì selection captivates with the vivacity of the pattern and the splendid harmony between light blue, dark blue, olive green, and ochre yellow on an ivory-colored light background. A large flower occupies the center of the plates, while a sequence of petals and leaves accompanies the edge, punctuated by concentric ochre bands and fine blue threads. A cheerful yet refined composition, with expressive brushstrokes, beautiful both set at table and displayed in a cabinet. The exact name of the pattern has not been identified: a distinctive and personality-rich motif that makes this set particularly fascinating for Mondovì enthusiasts. The photographically shown mark on the bottom reads “Mondovì – Richard Ginori – Hand Decorated – Unalterable – Made in Italy,” testifying to the manual decoration declared by the manufacturer. The variations in brushstrokes and shading enhance the character of each piece. The pattern can be traced to Cesare Lacca’s production and the Paola Collection, one of the most recognizable expressions of Richard Ginori ceramics from Mondovì. The vibrant color, the large central flower, and the hand-painted floral composition confer a distinctive and refined character to the ensemble. The centerpiece of the set is the tureen with lid, with a soft, generous shape, two wide side handles, and coordinated decoration: a striking item that alone can elevate the table. The lot includes 9 pieces, counting the tureen with its lid as a single item: • 5 flat plates • 3 appetizer or dessert plates • 1 tureen with lid Overall condition: good, with signs of age and use and some micro chips here and there, as documented in the photographs. These small defects do not compromise the remarkable decorative charm of the set and should be considered in the conservation state. A richly colored and personality-filled selection, ideal for enriching a Richard Ginori collection, adding to an existing service, or creating a vintage-taste table setting that is warm and refined.
