Historical diamond ring in 14-karat gold and silver Characterful historical ring made from 14-karat gold and silver, both confirmed by means of XRF analysis. The ring features an elegant openwork design with a central marquise-shaped diamond, surrounded by rose-cut diamonds. The combination of silver settings and a gold shank is typical of jewelry from the late 19th and early 20th century. Central is a marquise-shaped diamond placed with an estimated size of approximately 7.5 x 4.6 mm. Around it are six smaller rose-cut diamonds of about 3 mm. On the left-lower side one of the original small diamonds is missing. The ring was later reinforced at the back of the shank, with the inner side thickened to improve wearability and durability.
