Ring - 9 kt. Yellow gold - Vintage 9K Cannabis Ring

Vintage British gentleman’s signet ring in 9 carat yellow gold, featuring a striking cannabis / marijuana leaf motif applied over a circular black stone, believed to be onyx. The ring has an elaborate openwork design to the shoulders and a decorative textured border surrounding the black stone. The inside of the shank bears a series of British hallmarks which appear to read: P&S – Sheffield rose – Crown – 375 – R The 375 hallmark indicates 9 carat gold. The crown is the traditional British gold mark, while the Sheffield assay mark and date letter R appear consistent with 1991. The sponsor/maker’s mark appears to read P&S. Weight: 7.97 g including the stone Internal diameter: approximately 21 mm Ring size: approximately EU 66 / US 11½ Metal: 9 ct / 375 yellow gold Stone: black stone, believed to be onyx; not gemologically tested Origin: United Kingdom Assay office: Sheffield Date: probably 1991, based on the hallmarks The ring is in vintage/pre-owned condition with visible surface scratches, wear and signs of age. The hallmarks also show wear but remain substantially legible. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an integral part of the description. The black stone has not been professionally tested and is therefore described as believed to be onyx rather than guaranteed natural onyx.
